Kotoko were held to a goalless draw by Aduana Stars on Wednesday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi.
Stephen Nyarko headed in Eric Donkorâs cross in what should have been the match winner, but was disallowed: Mark Lord Arhin, whistled for a goal, but his assistant Ben Samari flagged for an off side, hence compelled the centre referee to change his mind.
The Kotoko fans were expecting their idol club to secure a victory and be at par with league leaders Wa All Stars on points, but failed to churn out the results. They believe the decisions of the match officials were biased against them, hence called for their heads, after the game game.
âWe are waiting for the match officials here. Even the referee was good, but his assistants came to the with the score line in their pockets and frustrated us with every move and also disallowed a perfect goal,â the agitated fans were captured on tape and played on Happy FM.
