Selassie Adjei wants Hearts of Oak exit

The former Amidaus Professionals striker has hinted that he wants to move away from the Phobians during the second transfer window.

Hearts of Oak spent huge sums of money to complete the signing of Selassie Adjei from Amidau Professionals, after he scored 10 league goals for the Tema based side in the 2012-13.

However, he has been struggling to replicate the splendid feat he chalked in his debut Ghana Premier League season, after joining Accra Hearts of Oak and has found it difficult to break into the Hearts of Oak starting line-up.

Selassie Adjei believes that he would rediscover his form somewhere else and has made his intentions to move away from the Accra giants’ public.

“I have had discussions with some club officials and I might move away from Hearts of Oak during the second transfer window.

“The fact that a player is struggling with a team doesn’t make him a bad one. For instance, Falcao and Fernando Torres both struggled at Chelsea, but when Torres rejoined Atletico Madrid, he is now their leading striker,” he told Happy FM.

Hearts of Oak are sitting at the summit of the Ghana Premier League with 21 points from 11 games.
