Albert Adomah scored twice for Middlesbrough in the English League Cup on Tuesday with his side cruising to a 3-0 victory to qualify to the next round of the competition.

Joe Dodoo was on target in the League Cup game for Leicester City again after scoring a hat-trick on his debut for the club in the same competition. Ghanaian defender Jeffrey Schlupp also made an appearance in the game against West Ham United that saw Leicester City win by 2-1 after extra time.

Jordan Ayew made a second half appearance for Aston Villa in their 1-0 win over Birmingham City in the English League Cup on Tuesday night.

Christian Atsu also played 81 minutes for AFC Bournemouth as they edged Preston North End 3-2 on penalties after a 2-2 draw to qualify to the next round of the English League Cup.

Alfred Duncan made a 78 minute appearance for his Sassuolo side in the Italian Serie A on Wednesday night. The Ghanaian and his side won the away game by a goal without reply.

Ebenezer Assifuah played 55 minutes for Sion in Sweden as his side were defeated by two goals to nil away from home.

Ghana international Derek Asamoah scored against Liverpool in the English League Cup on Wednesday. The goal was an equalizer to Danny Ings goal in the game that went into penalties with a 1-1 score line after extra time. Liverpool won the penalties by a 3-2 score line.
