According to Patricia Appiagyei, she has completed the phase one of the project and the phase two is to install floodlight on the pitch to enable young ones train in the evenings and will also ensure other grassless pitches in her constituency are developed.
“I always witness gala competitions in my constituency on a yearly basis. I believe the youth here have great football talents that I want them to get a good facility that could help unearth these talents,” she told Pulse Sports.
“It is in my plan to ensure that a floodlight is installed on the pitch to enable people who have decided to take football as a profession have access to the pitch even in the evenings, because it will give the youth a means of employment, which in a way would reduce unemployment in the country.
“This is not going to the first or the last. I will ensure that other grassless football pitches around are grassed. A committee which will be supervise by the sub metro will be set to carry out the maintenance of the facility.
“The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly has already donated a mover to cut down the grass to prevent the pitch from being bushy”.
