Kotoko midfielder to undergo surgery today

Jackson Owusu following a shin injury on Sunday will not be part of the Coach David Duncan’s plan when the new season commences and could miss the rest of the season

The former Berekum Chelsea combative midfielder who joined Asante Kotoko last season  will not be part of team’s scheme of things when the 2015/16 Premier League commences on February 20, 2016.

He suffered a grave shin injury early Sunday morning and a source has reliably told the club’s official website that Jackson Owusu is ruled out of the upcoming season.

A surgery is expected to be performed on Monday, disclosed General Manager, Opoku Nti who confirmed the sad news to Asantekotokosc.com.

“That’s the report the doctors are giving to us after examinations at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. He’s expected to undergo a surgery on Monday” Opoku Nti told Asantekotokosc.com
