Ghanaian player nets goal in La Liga debut for Las Palmas

Kevin-Prince Boateng scored in his Spanish La Liga debut as Las Palmas won their first game of the season away at Valencia.

The Ghanaian joined Las Palmas from AC Milan, a club Boateng had a second stint at in the second half of last season following his dispute with German Bundesliga club Schalke 04.

The player who has been training with Las Palmas in the past few weeks was handed a start in the La Liga game against Valencia by manager Quique Setien and played 60 minutes before being replaced by Momo.

Home team Valencia opened the scoring in the game with Santi Mina scoring six minutes after kick-off.

Marko Livaja levelled for Las Palmas before Jonathan Viera sent the away team into a 2-1 lead from the penalty spot.

Kevin-Prince Boateng scored the third goal for Las Palmas but Santi Mina scored his second of the day three minutes later as Valencia went into the first half interval trailing by three goals to two.

Marko Livaja scored the only goal in the second half for Las Palmas late into additional time as Prince Boateng’s team grabbed all three points away from home in their first game of the La Liga season.

Kevin-Prince Boateng becomes the 6 player in history to score in all the four major European leagues that is the English Premier League, German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A and the Spanish La Liga.
