Police arrest 4 over missing KUMACA guns

Two weapons owned by the school were reported missing last Friday, it is yet to be clarified why an educational institution owns such items.

According to Kumasi-based Abusua FM, 2 short guns and a pump action gun owned by the school were reported missing last Friday.

Accra-based Starr FM said sources told them the storekeeper reported the missing weapons. He found out of the missing guns after leaving the office in the care of a carpenter and some other workers.

It is, however, unclear why the school is keeping weapons. The four suspects are currently in police custody assisting with investigations into the matter.

Meanwhile, the school authorities are yet to explain why they keep weapons and whether they are registered.

KUMACA was recently in the news over the outbreak of Influenza H1N1 in the school which claimed at least four lives in December 2017.
