According to him, the perpetrators of lawlessness in the country must be brought to book.

His comments come at the back of a soldier Captain Maxwell Mahama who was lynched and killed at Denkyira-Obuasi in the Upper Denkyira West district in the Central region.

According to reports, he was lynched because he was suspected to be an armed robber.

An alarm was raised by the residents, who had witnessed an armed robbery incident the night before and so were on alert for the armed men.

The officer whose name has been given as Captain Maxwell Mahama of the 5 Battalion of Infantry at Burma Camp in Accra was dressed in civilian clothes.

Clement Apaak speaking on the development said "I think it is time our leader puts in measures to help check some of these acts of lawlessness. We have seen people in broad day light misconducting themselves and nothing happened…an investigation must be conducted and the perpetrators of the act must be brought to book."

Meanwhile, some aggrieved residents at Somanya in the Eastern Region have clashed with Police officers in the area over the arrest of the leader who organised a demonstration against the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).

The irate youth burned the police car in the process.
