William Tervie confirmed as Director General

Tevie, with the guidance from the governing board will be responsible for "regulating the growing and developing communications industry in Ghana."  A statement from the NCA said.

Acting Director General of the National Communications Authority William Tevie, has been confirmed by President John Mahama to serve a four year term.

He has been acting as director general  since June 2015 after Paarock VanPercy.

He has previously served as Director General of the National Information Technology Agency . He was also a member of the previous NCA board from 2009 to 2013.

He was recognized  at the just ended GITTA Awards as an innovative leader in the Communications industry.

It  was established by an Act of Parliament, Act 524 in December 1996, which has been repealed and replaced by the National Communications Authority Act,  2008 (Act 769).
