Nana Addo promises tax incentives to businesses
The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo has said he will introduce tax incentives and other measures to stimulate growth in the private sector of the economy.
Addressing what he termed as the 'Real State of the Nation' yesterday at the Physician and Surgeon, Nana Addo said he intends to reduce corporate tax rate, abolish VAT on Financial Services, remove duties on the importation of raw materials and manufacturing equipment, amongst other fiscal incentives, to stimulate growth of the private sector when he is voted for in the November polls.
GUTA strike enters day two, minister to meet leadership
National Executive member of GUTA, Benjamin Yeboah told Adom Fm that after day one of their strike action, the association received invitation from the trade ministry for an emergency meeting.
Most shops in Abossey Okai, Central Business District and Kantamanto were locked up under the leadership of Joint Private Sector Business Consultative Forum to protest tax and utility hikes.
