Partey to battle Boakye-Yiadom, Atsu and Nii Adjei for player of the Year Award

Thomas Partey will face stiff position from Richmond Boakye-Yiadom, Christian Atsu and Daniel Nii Adjei as they compete for the 2017 SWAG Footballer of the Year.

Richmond Boakye-Yiadom will lead the list of nominees for the 2017 Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Footballer of the Year Award.

The Red Star Belgrade striker who bagged 42 goals in 2017 will face competition from Atletico Madrid new sensation Thomas Partey, Christian Atsu and Nii Adjei.

Partey in 2017 broke into the watertight Atletico Madrid midfield, scoring some important goals and he has also been one of the best performers in the Black Stars.

Christian Atsu has been one of the most influential players at Newcastle, opening a lot of spaces in the opposing half, while Nii Adjei was very effective when TP Mazembe won the CAF Confederation Cup and even scored the goal that won them the trophy.
