Shatta Wale says Yvonne Nelson embarrassed him

Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has said actress, Yvonne Nelson spoke to him like a ‘bush girl’ at the MTN 4Syte Music Video Awards held over the weekend at the Accra International Conference Centre.

According to the outspoken artiste who spoke on Hitz FM's Hitz Gallery, Yvonne Nelson yelled at him claiming his bodyguards pushed her at a time she was granting an interview to a media house. He believes the situation could have been handled in a more decorous manner than the actress embarrassing him in the midst of a gathering.

“I went backstage to change to perform where I saw her with Bismark and I jokingly asked Bismark why he was standing with my wife, but she started raising her voice creating unnecessary attention”, he said.

Shatta Wale stated that he tried calming Yvonne Nelson down to know what really happened, “but she kept acting up”.

“I entered the place without seeing anything that happened behind me so I asked her to stop screaming because she is a lady but she kept on yelling, so I eventually got upset due to her attitude… The way she spoke made me believe the things people say about her, she really spoke like a bush girl, she didn’t look like the Yvonne Nelson I knew,” he stated.
