Customer loses phone, laptop and money to sex worker
A Nasarawa Magistrate court today, heard of the case of 25-year-old commercial sex worker, Hussaina Hassan of Mpape, Abuja who was arraigned for stealing money and equipments of a customer.
Sgt. Samuel Okoro who was Prosecutore, revealed that Christopher had personally reported the alleged loss ot the police on April 29.
Sgt. Samuel said: “When the complainant slept off, the accused made away with his laptop valued at N130,000, LG Tecno phone and Nokia phone all valued at N96,000 and N72,000 cash.
She took the items without the consent of the complainant’s, thereby contravening Section 288 of the Penal Code,’’
Okoro said that during investigation, the accused confessed to committing the crime.
Hussaina Hassan pleaded not guilty to the charges but Magistrate Habila Abundaga, granted bail to the accused in the sumof N300,000 with one surety in like sum.
The case was moved till July 2 for further hearing.
Recently, sex workers in Abuja protested being harassed by policemen.
