It is during one of such funerals in Ghana recently that the pallbearers carrying the corpse ostensibly to the cemetery lost grips of the coffin, and the corpse fell out and landed on the floor.
Dancing pallbearers 'scatter' as corpse gets out of casket (video)
Death of a relative is an unpleasant moment for family and friends, and probably in order to mitigate the pains of the bereaved, some people have lately adopted addition of fashion and performance to burial ceremonies.
It is not immediately clear where in Ghana the shocking incident happened, but in a video circulating online, families and sympathisers are seen seated, while being entertained by the black suit-wearing pallbearers.
The video shows two of the men in front and another two at the back carrying the casket on their shoulders, as another man in front leads them in the performance.
As they danced to African Borborbo by ASP Kofi Sarpong, one of them apparently tumbled, causing the rest to lose control of the coffin. The casket fell on the ground as they all ran for safety, leaving the corpse on the floor
