Nelson Namanda made the revelation when he featured on a show aired on Ebru TV in the east African country, tuko.co.ke reports.

He is further reported as saying that he got initiated just by greeting a woman he had met by a river side, and started behaving abnormally immediately after the initiation.

It is far from clear if the then young boy had gone to the river side purposely to be initiated into the cult, or he was recruited by the said woman against his will.

''Cultism is real, it’s just that people are trying to ignore it. I am a normal person like you, but I was initiated into a cult (known as Chinyinga) when I was in Class Six. The cult had like 110 members,'' he is quoted as saying.

Nelson further revealed that he and other members of the cult were mandated to lick a big snake regularly as a way of worshipping it, and things were going on well with them, including wealth.

While in Class Eight, he was asked to offer a sacrifice to the snake in return for the goodies he had enjoyed for being a member of the cult over the period. He then offered one of his toes and it was cut off, and the blood fed to the snake.

''When I got to Class Eight, they told me they wanted to give me a higher rank. So they told me to give them any part of my body to prove to them I was serious with the cult. So after much thought I decided to sacrifice my toe because I knew no one will know about my missing toe,'' Nelson said, adding: ''I became a beast after the sacrifice. My spirit could even go to Busia and do all manner of atrocities while I am in Nairobi.''

He has decided now to disclose his ordeal in the cult, claiming to have been born again.

He added that, while in the cult, he was tasked with many responsibilities including causing confusion in churches, which he did. What is equally unclear is how he exited the said satanic group.
