It was a bad day for a 38-year-old security guard attached to a church in the Kubwa, a satellite town in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, after he was nabbed for allegedly raping a 9-year-old primary four pupil.

A vile security guard in Abuja has been nabbed for allegedly raping a 9-year-old girl.

The security man was handed over to the police at the Phase 2, Site 2 area of the town when the girl's parents laid a complaint of defilement against him. It was gathered that the suspect had been defiling the girl for over a year until nemesis caught up with him.
Reports have it that the suspect was in the habit of waiting for the girl at the back of her school anytime she was going home and would lure her to his security post in the pastor's house where he worked and had sex with her.
On the day he was arrested, the girl did not get back home till the following day and the when the worried parents who had reported her as missing to the police asked her where she spent the night, she told them that it was the security man that had detained her over night where he repeatedly had carnal knowledge of her.

A source who witnessed the scene said:
“The parent became worried and visited the pastor of the church in whose house the suspect works where they reported the rape.
The pastor informed the police who arrested the suspect, while the victim was taken to the Kubwa General Hospital where it was confirmed that she was defiled."
