According to a report by Tuko.co.ke, the 40-inch plasma screen that was given to the law-enforcement agency by Startimes last month was on Monday, January 13, mysteriously plucked off the wall adjacent to the reception.

It is further reported that the police chose to remain silent on the matter but a CID officer who pleaded for anonymity disclosed it to the Daily Monitor.

“The TV was given to us last month by Startimes and it was fitted directly opposite the reception; unfortunately, it has been stolen and we don't know who took it," the anonymous officer is quoted as saying.
After the story went viral, Kiira Region police Spokesperson, Diana Nandaula, was left with no other choice but to confirm it, saying: "It is true our television has been stolen and we have tasked the officers who were on duty to explain how that happened.
