The video shows the woman surreptitiously picking valuables from the handbag of a woman sitting next to her as she was praying, before putting them in her own handbag.

The house of God used to be a fearsome and sacred place where criminal and immoral acts were completely absent, but some people able to steal, while others have sex in the church these days.

A South African woman is currently trending on social media after a video of her stealing from the handbag of a fellow woman while everybody was praying seriously.

The video has gone viral on social media and some South Africans have been reacting.

Ndikudze Mamoyo Mamoyo wrote: "In church???It’s a shame"

Donna Mock Bailey added: "Disgrace. In church?"

Kenny Broadnax commented: "She just beat the church to it."
