Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Patoranking, others to perform at 2015 Tigo Music Unplugged concert

They will be joined by Nigeria’s Afro dancehall musician, Patoranking, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Saturday, November 28.

Award winning hiplife and dancehall artistes, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, VVIP, Kwaw Kese, EL, Keche and MzVee are billed to entertain Ghanaians at the 2015 Tigo Music Unplugged concert.

Speaking at the media launch at its head office in Accra on Thursday, Tigo’s Director of Marketing, Jesse Agyepong said this year’s edition celebrates the first anniversary of Tigo Music with customers ahead of Christmas. He indicated that the much anticipated concert will give customers the chance to see Ghana’s top music talents perform their favourite hit songs.

“We made a huge impact on the music industry last year, with the launch of our partnership with Deezer, the international music streaming service. Through our commitment to commercialising music, we have been able to give real value for money to our local artistes and support to the Ghana Music Industry.

“After the launch of Tigo Music last year, it won the Most Innovative Product of the Year at the 2015 Ghana Telecom Award, which shows how relevant, timely and insightful driven the Tigo Music brand is,” he said.

Mr Agyepong explained that the event is targeted at all customers hence, the mixed line-up of artists, adding that, “As always, we promise fireworks and intensive partying. We will continue to be part of the music industry because we believe that music delivers great brand experience. We urge our customers to join us at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for fun-filled concert.”

He stated that just like last year’s edition, the tickets for the show will be free. According to him, customers by buying any airtime stands to get an invitation to the event.

The Tigo Music Unplugged Concert is supported by Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited, Golden Tulip (Kumasi), Africa World Airlines (AWA), TV3, EIB group, Tigomusic.com and DDP.
