Dr. Pimple Popper Pops Whole Olive Cyst
  • Dr. Pimple Popper's tackling a pilar cyst in her latest video on Instagram.
  • The pilar cyst popped up on a man's scalpa common place for pilar cysts, which are made up of excess keratin and shed skin tissue.
  • The cyst comes out in one whole piece and she compares it to an olive.

Dermatologist Sandra Lee, MD, aka Dr. Pimple Popper is continuing her spooky series this week. This afternoon, she's tackling a pilar cyst on her patient's scalp that looks ghostly.

Her latest Instagram video may sound scary, but it's all satisfying. Dr. Pimple Popper shares a blast from the past in her caption: "When theres something strange growing in your head... who ya gonna call? #drpimplepopper #slimer #cyst". This kind of problem calls for the one and only Dr. Pimple Popper.

Ready or not Dr. Pimple Popper is diving into her patient's scalp. (Btw a pilar cyst is a common type of cyst filled with excess keratin and shed skin tissue, often found on the head, scalp, face, and neck.) She has already cut it open and she's digging around in the man's head with scissors and a another metal tool.

It doesn't take long before what looks like an eyeball starts inching its way out of the cut. Dr. Pimple Popper continues squeezing away as it inches out. You doing okay? Dr. Pimple Popper asks her patient. Oh yeah, he says. Certainly he's feeling much better now that the huge pilar cyst is out of his scalp. She later adds that it resembles an olive.

The doctor takes hold of the pilar cyst with her tweezers, snips away, and frees it completely. Whether it's a Slimer or an olive, the dermatologist is definitely the right call when something strange is growing on your head.
