Johnny Manziel has been fined by the Cleveland Browns for missing treatment on the day of the final game of the season against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

New Browns executive vice president of football operations Sashi Brown plans to hold talks with Manziel, who missed the scheduled medical treatment on January 3 after being ruled out due to concussion symptoms.

The 23-year-old was reported to have been partying in Las Vegas on New Year's weekend wearing a blond wig and a fake mustache to avoid being recognised.

"Johnny owns a lot of this in terms of the future of his career," Brown said.

"We're not in a panic to make a decision one way or another on him,

"We set expectations for our team on and off field. Johnny owns a lot of this in terms of the future of his career."
