The Cleveland Indians maintained their perfect record against the Detroit Tigers this MLB season with yet another win on Tuesday.

The Indians improved to 11-0 against the Tigers thanks to a 12-1 win as Carlos Carrasco pitched six strong innings.

Josh Donaldson homered twice as the Toronto Blue Jays extended their winning streak to four with an 8-3 victory over the Kansas City Royals.

The New York Yankees shut out the Chicago White Sox 9-0 and the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the St Louis Cardinals 5-2.

A four-run ninth helped the Texas Rangers past the Boston Red Sox 7-2, the Miami Marlins rallied past the New York Mets 5-2 and the Los Angeles Angels claimed a 13-5 win over the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Arizona Diamondbacks edged the San Diego Padres 7-5 and the Houston Astros overcame the Seattle Mariners 5-2.

The Milwaukee Brewers battled past the Washington Nationals 5-2, the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Atlanta Braves 5-1 and the Chicago Cubs went down to the Cincinnati Reds 9-5. Elsewhere, the Baltimore Orioles defeated the Los Angeles Dodger 4-1, the Colorado Rockies were 7-3 winners over the San Francisco Giants and the Minnesota Twins beat the Oakland Athletics 11-4.


Phillies starting pitcher Zach Eflin may only be 22, and may have only had four MLB starts to his name heading into Tuesday's battle against the Braves, but he tossed a complete game while allowing just one run. Eflin joined the long line of talented young pitchers in Philadelphia by finishing with six hits and six strikeouts. After earning his first MLB victory, Eflin is now 1-2 with a 4.30 ERA this season. Yankees starter Masahiro Tanaka spun 7.2 scoreless innings with six strikeouts against the White Sox. He now has a 1.14 road ERA this season, which is the lowest of any starter in MLB. BLUE JAYS LOOK FOR FIFTH STRAIGHT

After four straight wins, Toronto will send Marcus Stroman (6-4, 5.08 ERA) to the mound to face Ian Kennedy (6-7, 4.04 ERA). Kansas City need to win to keep pace with the red-hot Indians in the American League Central.
