Jurgen Klopp set to recall forward

Lazar Markovic is looking to recall flying winger Lazar Markovic from his loan at Fenerbahce

Jurgen Klopp is in Liverpool to do what former manager, Brendan Rodgers could not do, take the club to the top.

The former Borussia Dortmund manager is now set to recall a player that Rodgers sent off on loan.

Lazar Markovic was signed from Benfica for £20 million but was sent out on loan to Fenerbahce in January after struggling to adapt.

Liverpool have the option of cutting short the 21-year-old's season-long arrangement and new manager Klopp who is an admirer of the Serbia international forward is keen for that to happen.

The 21-year-old is blaming Rodgers for his poor form at Liverpool, revealing that he never had a good relationship with the former Liverpool coach.

“I didn’t have a good relationship with the coach,” Markovic told Portuguese newspaper A Bola.

“That was a problem.

“I played in many positions but didn’t play in mine.”
