A Turkish Airways flight has been diverted mid-air following a bomb threat.

Al Jazeera reports that the flight was en route to Sao Paulo and declared an emergency following a bomb threat landing at Casablanca airport.

Reports say the flight, TK15, had departed from Istanbul today, Monday and landed in the Moroccan city after a note was found warning there was a "bomb" in one of the aircraft toilets.

The passengers were evacuated and a search is underway to find any explosives.

Details are still unfolding and will be updated as they emerge.
