He disclosed this when the Chief Executive of Ghana Cocoa Board (Cocobod) Joseph Boahen Aidoo paid a courtesy call on him at his palace on Wednesday, as part of his working visit to the Ashanti Region.

Mr Boahen used the opportunity to reveal some strategies he intends using to promote the consumption of cocoa products locally in order to ensure price change in the world market.

He indicated that he will work assiduously to reverse challenges in the sector such as the fall in the price of the cocoa and the drop in the quantity produced.

He specifically indicated that he will ensure the adoption of artificial means of pollinating the cocoa flower which will improve production per hectare of land.
