Petrol price down by 2%

Price of petrol reduced by 2%, while diesel witness the biggest reduction by 4%.
 
 

Prices of various petroleum products have reduced at the pump in accordance with the latest price review by the major marketers of petroleum products.

Petrol will be selling at Gh¢3.393 per litre from Gh¢3.465 while diesel goes for Gh¢3.151 from Gh¢3.281 at some filling stations, per the reduction.

The reduction comes a day after the Ghana Road Transport Coordinating Council (GRTCC) increased transport fares by 15%.

The Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority, Moses Asaga accused the transport operators of "betrayal" when they announced the new fares, adding, "especially when we know that this is even coinciding with diesel prices going down by 4 to 5 percent,” in an interview with Citi FM.
