Affail Monney re-elected as GJA president

He secured 310 votes to win the presidency while Evans and Aryeetey had 147 votes and 44 votes respectively.

In a statement, Monney said it was time heal wounds and move the association forward.

“This is the time for us, to show our forgiving disposition so that as a family we can move on. I promise on behalf of the executive which now reflects gender balance to deliver on our mandate”, he said.

Linda Asante Adjei of the Ghana News Agency won the Vice President position with 209 votes against Tina Aforo-Yeboah who had 111 votes, Francis Kokutse who had 93 votes and Mathew Mac Kwame with 92 votes.

Mary Mensah was elected for the position of Public Affairs with 287 votes out of 503 valid votes against Nii Adjei Klu .

Mr. Albert Kwabena Dwumfuor was also elected as the Organising Secretary surpassing Vance Azu Tetteh with 126 votes. Mr. Dwunfuor had 312 and Mr. Azu had 186 out of 502 valid votes cast.

Mr. Edmund Kofi Yeboah won the General Secretary surpassing David Agbenu with only one vote. Mr. Yeboah had 251 votes and David Agbenu had 250, out of 501 as total valid votes. Clearly that was a close one for Ewon dmund Kofi Yeboah.
