The young sprinter won gold after finishing the race with a time of 1:51, breaking the previous record of 1:53 which was held by University of Cape Coasts’ (UCC) Ali Shafic Mohammed.
Charles Baah, an athlete from the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has broken the 800 meters record at the ongoing GUSA Games at the university Of Ghana.
The University of Ghana’s Aglo Eric Noah, Denyangri Jamal Deen from University for Developmental Studies and UCC’s Abotsi Gawuga Daniel were 2nd, 3rd and 4th, respectively.
Baah, who was at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in 2018 won the 800 meters at the 2018 GUSA Games in Tamale.
However, he left KNUST as a level 200 information Technology student to the University of Education, Winneba to study Physical Education.
Meanwhile, the University of Development Studies (UDS) dominated the 4x100m relay finals after winning gold in both the men and women contests on Friday.
