Godfred Saka took over from Emmanuel Akuoko as the skipper of the Dormaa based side, but his captaincy position has been cut short by the technical team and management of the club, following an act of misconduct.
“Godfred Saka has been stripped of his captaincy as the punishment for misconducting himself. The decision was arrived at by the technical team and the management of the club.
“In addition he will forfeit his one month salary, but the decision to select him for games is in the hands of the technical team.
“He is an experienced player, so we need to sanction him to serve as an example to the young ones,” Appiah Kubi, the PRO for Aduana Stars told Pulse Sports.
Godfred Saka, who joined Aduana Stars from Red Bull Academy was instrumental in helping them secure qualification to the Ghana Premier League in the 2009/10 season and subsequently achieved an invincible feat when they became the first debutant to win the top-flight league.
