Liverpool contacts veteran coach to replace Brendan Rodgers

Liverpool owners want Carlo Ancelotti to replace Brendan Rodgers after an unimpressive start to the season

After their impressive start to the new season, Liverpool have contacted veteran coach, Carlo Ancelotti to replace current manager Brendan Rogders.

Liverpool owners according to reports have targeted former AC Milan and Real Madrid coach Ancelotti as the next manager.

After an awful end to last season, FSG chose to keep Rodgers as coach and provided him with funds to bulk up the squad.

Rodgers, this summer added the likes of Christian Benteke, James Milner , Danny Ings, Roberto Firmino to Liverpool but results have not been impressive of late.

Reports now have it that Ancelotti,has been approached to take over from Rodgers after Liverpool’s poor start to the season.

The 1-1 draw with West Ham,  3-0 Anfield defeat by West Ham, along with the loss at Manchester United, have convinced FSG to consider alternatives.

Ancelotti has a glittering resume winning UEFA Champions League three times and several league titles.

He won the 2010 league and the FA Cup double in his first season in England with Chelsea.

Despite being chased by several clubs Ancelotti said he need a year off on a sabbatical leave and has spending time between his homes in London and Vancouver.
