Sannie Daara says Ghana would have qualified if Asiamah was Minister from start

The Ghana Football Association spokesperson is confident the current Sports minister would have helped qualify the team to the Russia 2018 if he was in charge at the beggining

The Ghana Black Stars had been below par in the World Cup qualification series from the onset and Ibrahim Sannie Daara in speaking to Okoroko FM alluded that to the previous administration.

“Those experts of the previous Sports Ministry didn’t help the team at all. The GFA is not a political body but if a Minister is appointed the government to develop sports we don’t have any problem but if his appointment was targeted towards bringing one person down it’s utterly wrong”

On the other hand, Ibrahim Sannie Daara compared the leadership style of the previous administration to that of the current minister Isaac Asiamah.

Mr Sannie-Daara was full of high praises for Honourable Asiamah:

“We would have qualified hands down if Honourable Isaac Asiamah was around during the start.”

He also took the chance to throw shade at the erstwhile Sports minister Nii Lantey Vanderpuye

“Honourable Asiamah has been supportive so far and even though he might challenges he always consults the President of GFA rather than taking to radio to bastardize the team and to get the public turn against the team and you expects the team to stand for the country.”

Hounarable Asiamah took overseed the last four games in the World Cup qualification series whereas Honorable Nii Lantey was Sports Minister in the first two games.
