Kotoko captain sure of club's title success

Football pundits ruled out the Kumasi giants from challenging the league title after the club’s poor outings in the second round of games.

But the Porcupine Warriors despite struggling to beat Dreams FC 1-0 last Sunday courtesy Amos Frimpong’s late spot kick have jumped to fourth on the log sheet with 36 points, five points adrift the league leaders Wa All Stars.

And Frimpong believes that with seven games left, they can still win the domestic top-flight championship.

“We can still win the league, the fans should not lose hope, we will fight till the end, we are taking it match after match, is not going to be easy though,” said Frimpong.

“We knew the game will be difficult, Dreams FC have a lot of quality. We were ready for a difficult game, but we were able to pick all the three points.”

Kotoko in their next Premier League game will play as guests to Liberty Professionals on Saturday at Carl Reindoff Park in Dansoman.
