Ex-Black Stars goalie Fatau Dauda joins Legon Cities FC

Former Black Stars goalkeeper Fatau Dauda has joined Accra based side Legon Cities FC.

Dauda joined them on a free transfer after his deal with Nigerian giants Enyimba FC expired.

The club which has been acquired by new owners is bent on augmenting their squad, hence the signing of Fatau Dauda.

Legon Cities FC on matchday 1 of the Ghana Premier League drew two all against Liberty Professionals at Dansoman on Sunday. They took a two-goal lead before the Scientific Soccer Lads fought from behind to draw level.

Fatau Dauda could be in post for Legon Cities FC on Friday at the Accra Sports Stadium when they face off against Kumasi Asante Kotoko in their first home league game in Accra.

Wa All Stars following its acquisition by new owners of the club has been renamed Legon Cities FC and relocated from Wa to Accra.

Fatau Dauda is a well-experienced goalkeeper on the local terrain, having joined AshGold from Okwawu United and spent several years with the Miners, before joining Orlando Pirates in 2013.

He returned to the local scene in 2014 with the Miners and left for Enyimba FC in 2016.
