FIFA agrees to work with government to reshape football in Ghana

A meeting between FIFA and government dated 29 June has instituted a 2-man liaison team to run football in Ghana.

Government of Ghana following the Anas expose’ that caught several football and match officials on camera receiving monies suspected to be bribes, suspended all football activities in the country as part of its attempt to dissolve the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

To avoid any ban from FIFA over government interference in football matters, the Ministry for Youth and Sports has been engaging with FIFA to come up with a road map to restore football in Ghana, but without the direct involvement of the GFA under whose watch the image of the beautiful game has been brought into disrepute.
