FIFA has extended its invitation to President Akufo-Addo to grace the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia on Sunday.

Ghanasoccernet.com understand it is an opportunity for the FIFA boss Gianni Infantino to meet President Akufo-Addo and discuss measures to restructure Ghana football following the Anas expose'

Football activities have come to a standstill in Ghana after the multiple award winning journalist exposed several rots in the beautiful game in the West African country.

It would be recalled that Anas' latest expose' dubbed 'Number 12' caught some football administrators and match officials on camera receiving monies suspected to be briibes.

The government of Ghana in its quest to dissolve the Ghana Football Association (GFA), after the 'Number 12' expose' has got a court order to restrain the GFA from carrying out their normal duties.

Government to avoid a ban from FIFA has engaged the World football governing body on best way out to restructure football in the country and has set up a two man liaison team to oversee the running of the beautiful game on an interim basis.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who hasn't met the President of the Republic of Ghana because of the former's tight schedule at the 2018 Mundial, will take advantage of the final between France and Croatia to meet the latter's and talk about the crisis that has hit Ghana football.

Football activities in the West African state have been halted following a court action by government seeking for the dissolution of the Ghana FA.

This is after the screening of an undercover investigation which exposed acts of corruption by referees and leading members of the Ghana FA including Kwesi Nyantakyi who has since resigned as President of the association.
