FIFA Normalisation Committee postpone launch of Special Competition

Launch of the Special competition lined up by the Normalisation Committee to bring back domestic football has been postponed.

This follows boycott of the competition by the 16 Ghana Premier League clubs who have expressed grave concern over the format of the stop-gap contest.

The competition was scheduled to be launched on 14th January, 2019 in Accra.

However, the Normalisation Committee which was appointed by FIFA to replace the Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association has postponed the launch of the Special Competition.

"The Ghana Football Association has rescheduled the launch of the GFA Special Competition. A new date for the launch will soon be announced. We sincerely apologize to our media friends and stakeholders for the inconvenience," the GFA official handle tweeted.
