Gyan ridicules British Newspapers over reports that he’s broke

Former Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan has mocked two British Newspapers over reports that he’s gone bankrupt.

Gyan has been in the news after the Sun and the Mirror, two of British major news outlets reported that the Black Stars skipper is broke based on claims that he has just £600 in his bank account and is unable to provide for his family.

It is understood Asamoah Gyan in his marriage annulment with his wife Gifty at an Accra High court indicated that he has £600 in his bank account.

Asamoah Gyan took to his Twitter handle to make a statement that ridicules the two major British news portals over the reports that he is broke and can’t cater for the needs of his family.

Several Ghanaian have also expressed surprise at the reports carried out by the Sun and the Mirror because on the contrary the former Sunderland striker, who earned £227,000-a-week at Shanghai SIPG between 2015 and 2017 is believed to be the richest sportsman in the country

Asamoah Gyan has several business conglomerate in the country namely Mama Vits Noodles and Rice, Baby Jet Airline, Asa Band, Event management, Boxing Promotion, Baby Jet Plaza, Paradise Pac Water, Real Estate, Transportation Business, Hostel management.

And in 2017 he was reportedly granted an Air Carriers Licence by the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority as he looks to launch his Baby Jet Airlines.

Asamoah Gyan is currently in the country on Christmas holidays from Turkey where he is plying his trade with Kayserispor.
