Frank Nelson, Board member of Accra Hearts of Oak has said that the club is aware of the difficulties they encounter when playing matches at home but has warned that they must win their last seven games to ensure they lift this season’s Ghana Premier League title.
The Phobians lost their lead at the summit of the league log, dropping to second with 39 points, 2 points less than leaders Wa All Stars after succumbing to 3-0 defeat in Sogakope last weekend.
With seven matches to end the season, Hearts of Oak's lack of consistency in victories is a cause of worry to club faithful as they seek to end their seven-season barren run in the domestic front.

And with a home game against Techiman City this this weekend, Frank Nelson says they must begin the first of the last seven games with a win to make the dream a reality.
"We have realized how difficult it has been for us winning our home games, and we are working very hard to resolve the problem, so that we can regularize winning our home games with few matches to end the season,” he told Joy FM.
“We have to do everything to start winning at the Accra Sports Stadium and we are in constant talks with the players as well the technical team in order to avert the situation”.
There have been reports in the local media that about nine of the first team players will be sacked at the end of the season. Frank Nelson has quashed those reports and called on the players named to ignore such reports.
"It is not true. We are not putting any players on transfer. We have not called our players to tell them we are releasing them to the market because it will be unwise for us to think at that manner.

"But sometimes it happen every society where people will just bring out news without evidence. I don't know where the news is coming from and I can say categorically that from the Board of Directors and management of Accra Hearts of Oak, we have not thought about putting on transfer," he stated.
According to him, players can convince the technical team and management their quality is up to standard required by Hearts of Oak and that, they are not discussing such issues.
"We still have seven matches to go so l think this is not the right to discuss things like that. I am just appealing to our players whose names might have appeared in this issue to just take it easy and just understand that the club is solidly behind them and the club is not discussing anything of that nature. We don't have any intention of putting our players on transfer. We have a lot of work to do and we appreciate their effort."
The last time Accra Hearts of Oak won the league was in 2008.
