Sulley Muntari’s junior brother Muniru cancels contract with Turkish League side

Muniru Sulley has terminated his contract with Turkish Super Lig side Yeni Malatyaspor after just five months.

According to a release by the club their contract with the Ghanaian midfielder was cancelled by mutual consent.

A statement on the club’s official Twitter account read: ''Announcement | Our contract with Sulley Muniru has been mutually terminated.

''Thank you Sulley Muniru 👋.''

Muniru Sulley joined Turkish Super Lig side Yeni Malatyaspor five months ago, but he failed to gain regular playing time with the club and it is understood that motivated the decision for the two parties to part ways.

The 26-year-old made just five appearances in the five months spell he had with Yeni Malatyaspor.

Sulley Muniru has had stints with clubs like Liberty Professionals, CFR Cluj and Steau Bucuresti, both in the Romanian topflight league.

At Steau Burusti, his contract was terminated by the hierarchy because of alleged racial discrimination.
