Ghanaian stalwart midfielder Gideon Waja has signed a new deal with Canadian club Toronto FC II. The midfielder who played for West African Academy is now awaiting Canadian work permit in order to be added to the team roster.

Waja had 59 appearances for WAFA with 5 goals to his credit and was skipper for the side in his last season at the club.
The announcement was made on the clubs official website where his records with his former club and national team were duly stated.
Gideon Waja made a debut appearance for Ghana against on May 25, 2017 against Benin in an international friendly.
Gideon Waja was an unused substitute when he was called up to play Congo in a double header in the 2018 World Cup Qualifying series.
Toronto FC II will start their campaign in the USL against New York City II on 17 March,2018.
