Despite his heroics against fierce rivals, Tottenham, Arsenal midfielder, Mathieu Flamini is expected to still be sold by the club in the January transfer window.

“At the beginning of the season, I told him I won’t be able to play him regularly but he chose to stay and fight,” Wenger said.

“I am happy he did that,” he concluded.

Flamini’s contract expires at the end of this season but Arsenal would love to get something for him hence their interest to sell him this winter.

Arsenal tried to sell Flamini in the summer and he came close to leaving for Galatasaray but his £70,000-per-week wages were a stumbling block.
