Josh Charnley scored a second-half hat-trick as Wigan Warriors fought back to beat Hull KR and move level at the top of Super League with Warrington Wolves, whose unbeaten run was ended by Hull FC.

Fresh off beating rivals St Helens in the derby on Friday, Wigan made it back-to-back wins at the DW Stadium despite trailing 10-4 at the break thanks to tries from Graeme Horne and Iain Thornley.

But Charnley turned on the style in the second half, touching down twice within 10 minutes of the restart and, although Thornley's second briefly put strugglers Hull KR back in front, scores from Dom Manfredi and Oliver Gildart left Wigan in command.

And Charnley completed a wonderful individual performance with a 70-metre score, which he converted himself to move Shaun Wane's men level with Warrington on 14 points.

Wolves were undone by a stunning second-half showing from Hull FC as their unbeaten start to the season ended in a 26-24 defeat at the KC Stadium.

Warrington led 20-10 at the break with Ryan Atkins, Tom Lineham, Kevin Penny and Chris Sandow scoring.

Converted scores for Curtis Naughton and Kirk Yeaman before the hour helped Hull turn the match on its head, but it looked as if Lineham's second for Warrington had earned Wolves the points.

There was one last twist, though, as Naughton crossed for his second to leave Hull just four points off the top.

St Helens rebounded from their derby defeat to beat third-placed Widnes Vikings 20-12.

Joe Greenwood, Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook and Tommy Makinson all crossed in the first half for Saints.

Late tries from Josh Carney and Niall Evalds helped Salford Red Devils defeat struggling Huddersfield Giants 26-24 at John Smith's Stadium in a match marred by ugly scenes at the end of the game.

Salford players including Junior S'au and Carney jumped into the crowd, with media reports suggesting they were responding to cries for help from family members who were being squashed by their own fans.

Leeds Rhinos' miserable season continued as they suffered a last-gasp 20-16 defeat to fellow strugglers Wakefield Trinity Wildcats at Headingley.

The hosts recovered from a 14-6 deficit to lead by two points, but Liam Finn's penalty for Wakefield tied the match up.

Liam Sutcliffe then missed with a kick of his own for Leeds and that proved costly as Craig Hall pounced on Ash Handley's drop to run in an 80-metre score.

Rounding off the action, Morgan Escare and Todd Carney each scored twice as Catalans Dragons battered Castleford Tigers 41-22 in a seven-try romp.
