Contract rebel refused to join Liverpool on tour

In a move to force himself out of Liverpool, Raheem Sterling has told the club of his wish not to join them in their pre-season tour of the Far East
 
 

Liverpool contract Raheem Sterling has told the club that he won't be joining them on their pre-season tour.

The 20-year-old last season rejected a  £100, 000 per week contract and informed the club of his wish to leave this summer.

The England International has been a subject of two bids from Manchester City which undefined.

Manchester City are said to be preparing a third bid but Sterling is making his stand clear that he is no longer interested in playing for Liverpool.

According to, Sterling informed the club of his wish to stay away from the pre-season tour of the Far East and Australia in training on Monday.

Sterling was seen driving into the Melwood training ground of undefined.

Brendan Rodgers’ squad is due to fly to Thailand on Sunday, July 12 and Sterling could face punishment for his refusal to join in the tour.

Liverpool pre-season is not the only ting Sterling wants to stay away from.

Daily Mail also reports that Sterling failed to turn up for training today, Tuesday, July 8 after calling in sick.

Raheem Sterling has failed to report for training at Melwood today after he phoned in this morning claiming he is sick.

Sterling was expected to report in this morning but he telephoned in to say he would be unable to make it as he was feeling unwell.
