Ghanaian player Ransford Osei signs for new club as a free agent

Ex Ghana U-20 Star Ransford Osei has joined Kazakhstani top-flight side Shakhter Karagandi as a free agent, the club has confirmed.

The Ghanaian according to the club signed the needed contract details last Monday which he played in the club’s trail game on Tuesday where they won 3-1 over Serbian side Novi Plazar.

Osei who was touted as one of the rising stars after his exploits at the 2007 U-17 World championship where Ghana placed fourth and also played an instrumental role in the Black Satellites success following their triumph at the 2009 World U-20 championship failed to live up to the billing.

The 25 year forward career has since taken a nose dive and for the past season has been in search of a club which has landed him in Kazakhstan


Shakhter Karagandy will be Osei’s eighth professional club after playing for clubs like, FC Twente, Maccabi Haifa, Asante Kotoko, Kessben FC, Polokwane City.
