On Saturday at the Belle Isle Park, Chevrolet finally took the covers off the next generation Camaro – a highly anticipated upgrade that GM has been teasing with over the past few weeks.
The new car is going to go head to head with its direct competition the Ford Mustang in the coming months when it hits dealers.
There will be 3 Power-train combinations offered, ranging from a 455-horsepower 6.2-liter V-8 all the way down to a 2.0-liter turbocharged four, with either a manual or automatic. An equally big change might be the new interior — unlike the exterior, the cockpit looks all-new, featuring something Chevy is calling "Interior Spectrum Lighting" that shines a light pipe in any of 24 selectable colors across the dashboard. (It looks awesome.) There's even a "show mode" that will randomly cycle through all the colors, just for effect.
