The Denver Broncos won Super Bowl 50, which means the 2015-16 season is over and the 2016-17 season will begin soon.

February 23–29: NFL Scouting Combine.March 1: Deadline for teams to designate franchise or transition players.March 7–9: Teams can begin negotiations on contracts with agents of players who will be unrestricted free agents.March 9: The 2016 league year begins. The draft will take place in Chicago and the New England Patriots are without a first-round pick as punishment for their involvement in Deflategate.
