The President of Ghana sends words of encouragement to the Black Starlets the opening game against Colombia in Delhi,India

The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo has sent some encouraging words to Black Starlets team as he wishes the young stars good luck in their World Cup Campaign in India.

His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo issued a press release to the Starlets ahead of the opening game of the 2017 U-17 World Cup tournament against Columbia.
In the press release, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo indicated that he and the whole country are behind the team so they should go and make everyone proud.
The president is looking forward to the Starlets squad emulating their predecessors who won in 1991 and 1995.
These two tournaments produced household names in Nii Ordartey Lamptey and Awudu Issaka respectively.

Ghana are in Group A with Colombia USA and Host nation India.
