The 37 Military Hospital will from Friday, April 22 close down its Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to allow for a fumigation of its facility.

According to authorities at the hospital, the fumigation exercise will begin from Friday 22 to Sunday 24 April 2016.
A statement announcing the closure and issued by the Public Relations Directorate said “During the period of the closure, no admissions will be made. The Intensive Care Unit would however be operational from Monday 25 April 2016."
Authorities of the hospital have therefore asked the general public to cooperate with them for the period while the Intensive Care Unit is being fumigated.

The fumigation exercise forms part of periodic fumigation exercises at the 37 Military Hospital, the statement added.
