Ghanaian midfielder suffers ankle injury

Sassuolo’s injury crisis deepens, as the club confirms Alfred Duncan has picked up an ankle injury.

The midfielder missed Thursday night’s draw with Rapid Vienna, and had scans on the injury today.

“The scans showed that Alfred Duncan has an injury to the capsular ligament of his right ankle,” the Neroverdi announced.

Eusebio Di Francesco was already without Domenico Berardi, Paolo Cannavaro, Francesco Magnanelli, Simone Missiroli, Tim Letschert and Luca Antei.

Atalanta visit Mapei Stadium at the weekend, before an international break which should allow Sassuolo to recover some players.
