The Ghanaian recovered from an ankle injury that saw him miss three games for Swansea City and the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying games against Mozambique during the international break to start against the Premier League Champions.

Ayew helped his team win by a Gylfi Sigurdsson goal against Rahman’s team. The Ghanaian played 67 minutes before making way for Wayne Routledge.

The Black Stars vice-captain expressed his delight after returning from injury posting on his Twitter page:

“3 points vs a very good team.. Was happy to be back after my injury”

Swansea City travel to play Newcastle United in their next English Premier League game.
